One of the very most important choices you have on your wedding day (right before your photographer!) is your bridal party.  This is one of the biggest decisions, not only because you generally want to make everyone happy, but also because the people you surround yourself with on your wedding day determine the atmosphere of your whole day!  If you want a party from sun up to sun down, you may want to choose people who are party kind of people! If you prefer a slow, mellow more chill day, then chill people are who you want to look for. There are other things to consider as well, like family obligations, and being kind to important people in your lives.
For me, I chose my two sisters as soon as Josh and I got engaged and was pretty happy with that! Josh on the other hand has about 30 best friends in addition to his two brothers.  He ended up with TWO best men, and neither of them were his brothers!  We ended up with 6 people on each side, and it was perfect for us. Sean and Leesha had a small bridal party, and it was perfect for their wedding!  Their wedding was a relaxed day, full of laughter and family and their party reflected that! Leesha says : “I thought about who would be there for me and be laid back and fun about everything. I think it’s important for people to not get wrapped up in all the little things. Choose someone you always have fun with”Khrystina says ” Choose people who genuinely love both of you (bride and groom) not just her best friends and his best friends.  They will make sure your wedding is as stress free as possible.”Brett and Drew’s wedding was a great example of a bridal party being a support system. They wiped tears, carried dresses and all had incredible servants heart toward the couple for their big day!Drew says “For my bridal party, I chose everyone who was like a sister to me!”My last tip is to surround yourselves with people who are going to cry and laugh WITH you on your day. Most of Rodney and Kylea’s day was filled with emotion! Lots of laughter, but also so  so many happy tears.  Mostly from the bridal party. ( and sometimes from me!) Kylea says ” I chose the best girls for my bridal party! They were excited and really helpful with everything.  It means a lot to have your best girlfriends by your side at the beginning of your happily ever after!  Choose your best girlfriends who are always there for you, willing to help and excited for your wedding day! Choose the girls that mean the world to you!”
