I’m excited to get back to sharing a bit of behind the scenes and home life in our new series, Our life in cell phone photos! You can watch for these on the first Monday of the month for the previous month from now on out. They say the best camera is the one that you have with you, and so for me that means my iphone at all times! I hope you enjoy a bit of behind the scenes from our month!
February is E’s birthday month! So along with having a rad super bowl party with the youth group, we also celebrated her! One of our favorite people Alexis also had a birthday that week and shared her cake with Emily! That girl got more cake her birthday week than the other two did their entire first two years of life! For E’s actual birthday we had a small party, that was just the closest family. Josh’s brother Russell tried to make the trip out, but made it so close before putting his car into a ditch. He ended up having to go home and miss the party, while we waited 2 hours to start the party while Josh and my dad where out there helping him and the other people who slid around that day. We play the rotating toys game at our house. We take a few big things out every few weeks and when the girls get bored of them we put them away and take out “new” toys from a month or two before. It works out really well! This months popular item was megablocks! One of my very favorite pass-times is sitting my our fire with my hubby and my bible. We love our stove! We had a “no make up” photo shoot in February with the models, and all went to lunch afterwards to spend more time together! Josh also spent a good part of February digging people out of snow. That’s what we get for living in PA!Emily got the hang of eating, and hasn’t stopped! One of those photos above is actually her begging me for steak. I couldn’t stop laughing! She ended up really liking it! I took this photo the day before I left for SYNC. A conference for Senior portrait photographers. I was trying to prepare my momma heart for 6 days away from these people and loved this image of Josh reading the girls bible book to them before bed. Then it was off to sunny Florida! It was an amazing time and I learned SO MUCH. Plus I made a lot of new friends and picked up some cool new techniques for my seniors! This was our last morning in Florida, all the roomies together! As much as I enjoyed spending the week focusing on the business, I was ready to get home! We had a good bit of turbulence on the flight to Pittsburgh, and although I generally don’t let myself get worked up about things I did get a bit nervous when it got really rough! I was praying through the flight, and thought it was so amazing and kind of God to give me this rainbow! An extra promise of his protection over me. I was honestly thrilled to be back with my family and couldn’t stop smiling! I don’t have photos, but we had a family date to ikea after Josh picked me up from the airport. It was a good day! Then it was back to home life as usual! and prepping for the first annual prom expo! This went off so so smoothly, and I’m so grateful to all the people that made it possible! Plus I really like taking photos with my girls. These photos are just a few of my favorites from the month, I hope you enjoyed them! I encourage you to take more photos of your day to day! It was great to go back through them and remember moments, even that just happened a few weeks ago!
