Dear 7th grade me, : Guest Blogger Maddy

Guest Blogger Maddy-  Dear 7th grade Me,

You are going to make it. It’s going to be hard, but it’s going to be so worth it. You are going to experience new things. Your first exam, your first crush, your first pimple, your first lost friend, and so many more things. It’s going to be exciting and thrilling. Just grab your opportunities and hold on for the ride.

Let’s start off with teachers and classes. The teachers are going to be hard on you not on

purpose they are trying to prepare you for high school. So don’t get too hurt or angry with them.

They are helping you. Classes are going to pick up pace really fast you’ll be able to keep up

don’t worry. If you don’t understand a topic or lesson DO NOT be afraid to ask for help. That’s

what they are there for. All the teachers and classes are there to help you move to the next

step. Don’t stress out relax, and take a breath.

Boys. Oh sweet sweet girl you are going to have crushes. They are going to make you

feel on top of the world but if the boys don’t cooperate with your feelings don’t let them bring you

down from the top of the world. It’s OK to have crushes but don’t let them get in the way of

succeeding. When you’re in 7th grade and a boy doesn’t like you back or you go through a

breakup you’re going to feel like it’s the end of the world. But darling, it’s not it’s just the

beginning of an amazing story. Keep reading.

Pimples and other teenage things. I know they suck. Remember you’re not the only one

who has to deal with pimples, glasses, braces, etc… EVERYONE in junior high and high school

deals with them. Don’t stress over them it’s all apart of growing up ( just the most unfair part )

Keep your chin up they won’t last forever. Your flaws are part of your beauty don’t hide them.

Friends. Friends are going to come and go, but don’t let go of the good ones for little

reasons. Like if your “BFF” steals the boy you like or you’re friends didn’t invite you to a party.

Don’t get too upset over it I know that’s easier to say then do, but honestly they might not have

even known what they were doing. Ask them about it talking and having a heart to heart can

solve almost anything. You are going to lose touch with friends from elementary school but that

doesn’t mean they’re gone forever; smile, stand tall you will get through friendship break ups.

The TRUE friends will stay the ones that go weren’t meant to be.

In 7th grade people do bully. I’ll let you in on a secret they do it because they are

insecure about themselves just like every teenager. Stand up for yourself. DO NOT let anyone

treat you like you are nothing. Talk to someone if you’re sad or angry don’t keep it in it doesn’t

help. Tell a friend, parent, trusted teacher but don’t ever keep how you are feeling inside. And

NOTHING you feel is EVER stupid or silly. If you keep things inside of you they will build up and

you will not ever feel better trust me. You are so beautiful and worthy of so many amazing

things don’t ever settle for less.

As you can see 7th grade is going to be a wild ride but so is the rest of your life. Hold on

and buckle your seat belt. Grab a friend or friends, and a cute pair of shoes and you girlfriend

are going to conquer it.

Stay Beautiful.
